Zia Islam is a recent graduate of Temple University. He has produced, written, directed, and edited several film projects − ranging from short narratives, documentaries, and commercials. He channels his cultural insights from world traveling into thought-provoking filmmaking. In January 2009, one of his documentary shorts, detailing his experiences during the 2008 presidential election, was screened in the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. He interned in Los Angeles, working for acclaimed documentary filmmakers Laura Nix and Grace Lee, as part of Temple University’s Study Away Program. He recently opened his production office, Z.U.I.K. Media, in Lansdowne, PA.
